Continuing with the playoffs, the games played on 1/16/2016 were great, even if the desired outcomes did not happen. The first game is probably one of those, between Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots. Many people probably did not want the Patriots to win, if you all are like me, you wouldn’t mind seeing some other teams in the Super Bowl. Maybe some teams who have never been to the Super Bowl before? Maybe like the Detroit Lions for instance? Oh well, they will get their turn someday, maybe, hopefully, in the next 10 years; and make a fool of themselves on international TV, like they always do. Anyways, the game between the Chiefs and the Patriots was really close. The Chiefs were behind the entire game, not once did they take the lead. Never late than never to come back right? Maybe. They had a few chances to win, one of their biggest problems was they did not get their last touchdown fast enough. With very little time on the clock, and a very interesting pass play to get a first down, the patriots had the game sealed at that point; even when the Chiefs had 2 timeouts remaining. The patriots won that game.
The second game was also action packed, but many people were also disappointed with the outcome of this game. It was between the Arizona Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. That game was a major disappointment for many Green Bay fans, Green Bay looked good until about the second half. There were a few times in the second half where the Packers tried to fight back. There was an impressive deep pass by Aaron Rodgers that tied the game for them. However, due to the stupid NFL overtime rules, the Cardinals got the ball first as well as the game winning touchdown. I do believe that if the Packers had the ball first, they could have easily gotten a touchdown and won. However, the big red birdies got the ball first, and left the packers to pack their own dust.
Between Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers, it was tough to call. Until they actually played the game. And the Panthers took the game away from the beginning. They were ahead in the very beginning, and never scored in the second half on top of that. This just might be the year for Carolina Panthers, they only lost once during the regular season. It was the Falcons that beat the Panthers, and the Falcons are not in the playoffs.
The next game is between the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I am slightly leaning towards the Broncos. The Steelers have a 10-6 record and the Broncos have 12-4 record, and the Steelers have already beaten the Broncos once during the regular season. Both teams have a lot going for them, and like the previous games, this one too should be a good game. It is hard to tell if it will be a blow-out or very close, and we will have to wait for the game to find out. The problem the Steelers might encounter is a lot of their players are hurt, so that might be a slight issue. Just a little one… like a big little issue.
So if the Broncos win this game, they would play the Patriots. Honestly, I think that the Broncos will beat the Patriots. Regardless of Patriots strong offense, they have a weak defense, and it might not be enough to win. The Broncos beat the Patriots in regular season already, and they can certainly do it again. The Patriots will have to put up a strong fight if they want to win, but I am skeptical that will happen. Right now, it is determined that that Cardinals will play the Panthers. I think that the Panthers will win between them, I also think that the game will be really close rather than a blow out on either side. I’m not sure really why I chose the Panthers, I just did.
For the Super Bowl then, I am thinking it will be between the Broncos and the Panthers. And that will be a fantastic game. Even if it is between the Broncos and the Cardinals, it will still be a great game. Those are not really teams I would care to see in the Super Bowl, but I will still watch it anyways. Mostly for the commercials, but I would like to see it go two hours into overtime and have both teams declare a tie because they don’t care anymore. Plus, we will get more commercials.
