NFL London – London Calling

NFL London Pure GeniusNFL London should be a weekly thing.  I know that the NFL has been thinking of expanding.  I think A permanent team in Mexico City or Toronto would make more sense.  I am for a game being played in London every week though.  The prospect of having NFL football from 9 in the morning till midnight is fantastic.   NFL London gives power watchers of football a great opportunity to watch as much as you can.

This year the schedule for NFL London is only four games.  Two of those games will start at 1 PM Eastern time.  The other two will start at the time all NFL London games should 9:30 AM Eastern time.  I say that not having seen the viewing numbers for the different time slots in London. I am not looking at this from a non biased point of view.  It is all about what is good for my football viewing.  It really makes no sense to play a game over there and then have it start at 1 PM Eastern time.  It is then just like a usual week.  The game just happens to be in London then.  Maybe the evening games over there draw better.  Not sure yet but not having that extra game on does not really make sense on this side of the Pond.

Some would not want to give up a Home Game

I don’t have a problem with a team having to give up a home game.  Depending on the team the fans may or may not feel differently about that.  In Jacksonville or with the LA Chargers the home fans probably would not even notice there was one less home game.  In Green Bay their rightfully would be outrage.

I have heard some rumblings from some of the players about NFL London and Thursday games.  It is not all the players just a few of them.  The thing I would like to remind them about here is that.  You are getting paid millions of dollars to play a game.   This is entertainment and the goal here is to attract as many viewers as possible.  If you don’t like it there are plenty of other jobs you can do.  No you will not make the same kind of money you make playing football.

NFL London Good Over All

NFL London has been good for getting the NFL out to new crowds.  As the world advances becoming a global entity is going to be a thing.  I would like to see the NFL London become a weekly thing.  I think they should also start most of the game at 9:30 AM Eastern time.   This would allow for maximum football viewing.
