ESPN is getting beyond comical. Well I think they have been there for a while. They are more like TMZ now than a sports reporting network. But then I remember what ESPN actually stands for. Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. So I guess the TMZ model is in their wheel house. I guess it is better than being Gawker. LOL
The ESPN obsession with what LeBron James is doing just had to make me laugh today. He un followed the Cleveland Cavaliers on his social media accounts. Somehow ESPN got from this that he is leaving the Cavaliers. It is a done deal. He is out. There is no question about it. LeBron will be with a new team next year. Really how did you, ESPN, come to that conclusion.
First I wonder how many players actually follow their team social media accounts. Probably not as many as ESPN would like to think. I mean really they play for the team they are there everyday do they really need to follow their teams social media account to know what is going on? I would say not at all.
ESPN is just pissed off at LeBron because he will no longer give them the time of day. If I were him I would not either. If I was any player in any professional sport I would not. They are the low of the low and the crap of the crap. They have become the Glenn Beck of the sports world. Anything is fair game and anything that does not fit the story is a huge deal. It must work. Well maybe, they have lost some subscribers over the last year or so. Maybe people are getting sick of it. I am pretty sure that LeBron is.
They are now hiring clowns, well not literally since they are not wearing face paint. But if you listen to them you would think what a clown. If you are one of the clowns you know who you are.
Anyway. Really ESPN just because one small thing happens does not mean a major thing it going to happen. Get over yourself you really are not that smart. Sometimes I think that LeBron and other pro players are just messing with ESPN because they know they can. Really I do not blame them and that thought does make it more fun for me.
