The College football season is upon us once again. There has been some major things happening. Both good and bad. The NFL went through a lock out but you would never know it now. Some major College teams are in some hot water and we don’t know what their final punishments will be.
There are only two match ups of ranked teams during this first week of College Football. Both match ups could have a significant bearing on who plays for the BCS championship this year.
(5) Boise St at (19) Georgia – This is it for Boise. Just like last year when they opened with Virginia Tech. If they lose this one it will remove them from any chance of playing in a BCS bowl. For Georgia this geme is a chance for them to show that they are coming back from a so so season from a year ago. That sounds funny that playing Boise St. would be a game for an SEC team to use to make a statement. I guess that is just the way things can change in College football. The other game of ranked teams this week is (3) Oregon vs. (4) LSUthis game is being played at Cowboys Stadium, ARLINGTON, TX – This is going to be a very interesting game. Both teams have had their off season problems. The LSU problems are probably a little more severe than the Oregon ones. I don’t see LSU having the Defense to hold Oregon down in this one.
