College Football Picks Ranked Teams 10-29-2011

Hard to believe that we are already in week 9 of the College football season. The games get bigger and this is where a bad day could really ruin your chances at making it to a BCS Bowl game. Once again we only missed on one game. It was a game that could have went either way and here at the picks we just picked the wrong team.

In the first game LSU took it to an undermanned and probably should not have been ranked Auburn team. We actually gave Auburn too much credit and the final score was LSU 45 Auburn 10. Picks for the week 1-0

In the second game the game lived up to the potential of both teams. Michigan State could not stop the Wisconsin Offense but in the end Wisconsin could not knock down a 50 yard in the air pass. Final score Michigan State 37 Wisconsin 31. Picks for the week 1-1

In the third game of the week there is not much to say here. Stanford kicked Washington in the teeth and right out of the polls. Final score Stanford 65 Washington 21. Picks for the week 2-1.

Last weeks picks brings our record for the year to 18-5. With the great start to the season it is looking more and more like the picks are going to have a winning year this year.

This week there are only two match ups of ranked teams. Even if we have a bad week it will not hurt our record too bad. Or it could lead to the long slow slide. Lets hope not.

In the first game (9) Oklahoma at (8) Kansas St –  Kansas St. will have to play their game of the year to win this one.  Oklahoma had its season come to a crashing halt last week with their loss to Texas Tech.  Watch for Oklahoma to come out strong and make a point in this game.  If they are going to have any chance at getting back into the BCS picture they are going to have to win big from here on in.  Kansas St. is not going to be a push over but they are one of the biggest surprise teams of the year.  This game is where it ends for them.  Final Score Oklahoma 38 Kansas St. 17

The second game is (11) Michigan St at (14) Nebraska – This game is big in who will win the Legends division of  the Big 10.  If Michigan State wins they could be on there way to winning that division.  Nebraska would love to make it to the Big 10 Championship game in their first year.  Nebraska has show that they have trouble with really good defenses.  Michigan State has one of the best defenses in the country.  This game is going to come down to the Michigan State Defense shutting down the Nebraska Offense.  Final score Michigan State 24 Nebraska 10
